Psychology Today Profile

Miranda Tucker, LCSW

I believe that everyone encounters challenges at different points in life. Despite outward appearances, none of us has everything figured out all the time. My role as a therapist is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where we can work together to navigate life's challenges and move toward meaningful change and healing.

As a clinical social worker, I use a strengths-based and collaborative approach to help clients recognize and build upon their existing resilience, insight, and capabilities. Together, we will explore patterns that may be holding you back while uncovering the strengths—sometimes overlooked—that can help you manage daily stressors and life's more complex struggles. My goal is to help you reconnect with your own capacity for growth, resilience, and lasting change.

I have a strong commitment to serving my community, including supporting those who dedicate their lives to protecting and helping others. I have a particular interest in working with first responders and individuals impacted by trauma, recognizing the unique pressures, responsibilities, and experiences that come with these roles. First responders often carry immense responsibility while navigating high-stress and traumatic situations. I strive to provide a space where they can process those experiences openly, strengthen resilience, and prioritize their own well-being.

Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals and families from a wide range of backgrounds and life circumstances. My experience includes working with individuals with developmental disabilities and their caregivers, children and families involved in child protection systems, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and life transitions. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, adults, and couples, tailoring my approach to meet each client's unique needs and goals.

I am committed to providing an inclusive and affirming environment that respects all aspects of identity, including gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, faith, culture, and political perspective. My office is a space where clients are met with dignity, respect, and genuine curiosity.

Outside of my professional work, you'll find me using movement to metabolize the stressors of life. I also enjoy trail running, cooking, reading and cheering on the sidelines of lacrosse games.
